Vicente Giménez Chornet has a PhD in History from Universitat de Valencia, is a senior lecturer at UPV in the area of Documentation and is a member of the AENOR (Spanish Association for Standardization and Certification) Comité 50 on Documentation. He was the director of the interuniversity master’s degree in Cultural Management at UPV. I was president of the Col·legi Oficial de Bibliotecaris i Documentalistes de la Comunitat Valenciana (Official College of Librarians and Documentaries of the Valencian Community) in Spain from 2010 to 2012, archivist at Archivo del Reino de Valencia, secretary of FESABID (Spanish Federation of Archival, Library, Documentation and Museum Societies) and president of AVEI (Valencian Association of Specialists on Information). He directs the journals “Métodos de Información” (Methods of Information) and “Culturas. Revista de gestión cultural” (Cultures. Journal of Cultural Management).

He has been a guest lecturer at universities in Argentina and Colombia and has participated in seminaries and congresses in Chile, Bolivia, Uruguay, Colombia, Italy and South Korea. He has publications on archival science, documentation science and History in specialised journals.
