Research
DCADHA is a department with a marked multidisciplinary character composed of a team of professionals specialising in 8 areas of knowledge, namely: Audiovisual Communication, Library Science and Documentation, History of Art, Aesthetics, Advertising, Music, and History of Education, as well as other related fields such as Photography, Museology, and Cultural Management.
The versatility of these areas allows the creation of synergies with other fields and disciplines, promoting interdisciplinarity and transdisciplinarity. The insights from these areas of knowledge allow other disciplines to be provided with practical and applied solutions (for example Mathematics, Statistics, Sociology, Economics, Computer Science, History) as well as to develop emerging lines of research due to knowledge obtained from these subjects (for example, Digital Humanities, content marketing, web bibliometrics).
Research
DCADHA has the three following research groups.
Research
At DCADHA, we organise various conferences with an international impact, related to our fields of study and bringing together professionals, students and researchers. They provide spaces for reflection and knowledge exchange, and have grown over the years to include hundreds of participants.
Research
At DCADHA we are always open to collaboration with other departments, institutions, research centres and companies, with the aim of creating synergies and sharing our insights to solve obstacles and address the challenges of other fields of knowledge. This means we can evolve, thanks to the contributions and methodologies of other specialists and thus, contribute to new scientific, cultural and social challenges from an open and sustainable perspective within the reach of society.
